Somebody told me once that Japanese make more robots than they make babies. Well, that might be exaggeration but they still have a shitload of robo models queuing up everyday on online stores. Another addition to the impressive export-list is Robonova-1, which after a long wait is available for customers outside Japan.
So, if you seem to have $1,199.95 to burn and have nothing better to do than looking at a new robot do push-ups, dance, cartwheel at a touch of a button, Robonova-1 is just the robot you are looking for gratification of your desires.

The unit comes with software programming tools that can be installed on your PC, allowing robotics enthusiasts to program the robot to do additional movements and sequences, or add expandable features as and when available. Custom gold anodized aluminum servo brackets and nylon servo cases provide a strong and durable exoskeleton. The Robonova-1 measures 12″ H x 6″ W x 3″ D. and weighs 3 lb.

Well, you have to give credit to HITEC ROBOTICS for creating this acrobatic robot(who somehow reminds me of my P.E. instructor) which is much better than most of other commercially available robots. But is it worth the dough? Check out the video and decide for yourself.
