Aldebaran Robotics, France has decided to end the Asian monopoly in the field of humanoids as it designs the 21.6 inches tall Nao which is expected to go to production in 2007. This household humanoid will be capable of surfing the web via Wi-Fi other than the usual humanoid stuff.
The gripping hands appear to add up some extra movements as it has 23 ‘degrees of freedom’ of motion. I guess what that means is that it will be a bit more human in its motion. Hopefully, the French accent and the French kissing would be optional.
