After serving trains, they are in pubs. Albeit expensive, yet the owner would like to use them as sommeliers in their pub, restaurant, casino etc. So, sad news for sommelier! But evidently a good innovation of futuristic servers.

NEC System Technologies
and Mie University have developed an electromechanical sommelier, which can classify dozens of various wines, cheeses and even the sweetness of the apple without even touching it, seems strange!

How it works- an infrared spectrometer is fixed to the robot’s left arm. When a stuff come across the sensor the robot fire off a beam of infrared light, which is then scrutinized to determine the item’s chemical composition. After identifying a wine, the robot adds up the quality and ingredients in a childish voice.Since the robot is able to identify the very subtle disparity by reading chemical composition thus it can be used in health related issues.

This 2-foot-tall robot is being planed to be available for $1,000, however the sensors would be available next year.
