We can see robots working efficiently in almost all fields. Now we have another field in which we will see robots replacing humans. Some researchers of Pittsburg have designed a car which drives by itself through traffic. The car has been equipped with latest software and hardware. It has several cameras, sensors and lasers and several other hi-tech gadgets to help it in its functioning.

The vehicle is to be tested in DARPA, Defense Advance Research Projects Agency challenge robotic vehicle challenge, a robot vehicle “race”. The venue has been selected to ensure that no one gets hurt in case the test fails.

The Tartan Racing team from Carnegie Mellon who grabbed the second price in the event last year is preparing to enter the competition to be held next year with this Chevrolet Tahoe vehicle with the latest in computer and navigation wizardry.
