Soccer fever has gripped robots too and perhaps, you would soon see them dribbling, kicking and drooling on the field. Team Osaka has already started preparing the team and VisiON TRYZ is the first player boasting of his soccer skills. The 49.5 cm tall walking robot weighs 2.9 kg and can easily recognize a ball to kick it. It can dive too, as you can see in the video, putting even Oliver Khan to shame.
The robot is carved out of light carbon fiber wrapped with soft resin material and is controlled by PNM-SG3500MHz processor. Running on Windows XP, the $262,600 VisiON TRYZ also house two USB ports.
