In the RoboWorld 2006 a team of Sogang University’s R&D department presented a walking-aid robot named ‘SUBAR‘.

The robot has been designed to assist in walking. The Subar works after censoring the movements of muscle during the step and supports walking power by a automated motor.

It can of help for the patients who are under going psychotherapy and are learning to support their weight on legs again. Apart from this medical use I do not see any future of this robot in the real day-today world.
